1. Do you have coupons?
We occasionally offer cents-off coupons in local flyers, on the underlid of our products, and sometimes at the grocery shelf. In addition, we suggest that you watch for special sales or promotions at your local store and look for coupon offers on our website.
2. I followed the cooking instructions and still found the product to be cold; in fact some ingredients were still frozen?
Microwave ovens do vary. If you found your entrée cold, increase the heating time in 30 second increments until 160˚ F is achieved.
3. Is it safe to heat and eat my Michelina's entrée once it is thawed?
We do not recommend preparing any entrée once thawed. The quality and food safety of the product may be at risk depending on the thawing process. We recommend that you dispose of any entrée which has been allowed to completely thaw.
4. Is your packaging recyclable?
Our trays are made with coated paper board, to keep the food from soaking into the packaging. This material, like milk cartons, is not recyclable in all areas.
According to the National Recycling Coalition, "The first place you should call when you want to learn how to recycle something is your local recycling, solid waste, environment, or public works department. The names of these departments vary from place to place, but all local governments (i.e., cities, towns, counties) should be able to help you identify the recycling options in your area."
5. Do you have family size Michelina's entrées?
No. Our entrées are available in convenient single serve sizes only.
6. Who is Bellisio Foods?
Bellisio Foods is Michelina's parent company. Bellisio Foods has been serving beautiful food all over the world for more than 50 years. To learn more about the company visit their website at www.bellisiofoods.com.
7. Who is Mama Michelina?
Mama Michelina was the mother of Jeno F. Paulucci, founder of Michelina's, whose passion for Italian food continues to resonate to this day. For more on Mama Michelina click here.
8. Do you have Gluten free products?
Because of the pervasiveness of pasta and other grain-based ingredients (especially wheat) in our operation, and the varying degrees of individual sensitivity to gluten, we cannot be absolutely certain that gluten is not present in our products - even those which are not formulated with grain-based components. With this in mind, we do not claim any of our products to be "gluten-free".
9. Do your products contain MSG?
Some of our meals do have MSG. MSG - spelled out as "monosodium glutamate" - must always be shown in its proper place in an ingredient declaration. It is not a "flavor" - natural or otherwise.
10. What type of enzymes do you use in your products?
We purchase all of the cheese products in the items, so we have no control over animal-based, vegetable-based, or derived from microbial systems. It is not required that cheese labeling distinguish between the enzyme sources and various cheese manufacturers have advised that they frequently switch enzymes depending upon price and availability.
