In this tough economy, many families are struggling just to keep food on the table; those struggles will be eased a bit thanks to a large donation from the Lois & Jeno Paulucci Family Foundation.
Volunteers loaded 50,000 Michelina's frozen meals onto trucks at the Salvation Army in Duluth this morning to be distributed to food shelves and housing agencies throughout the region.
John Moore of the Duluth Housing Authority says the help couldn't have come at a more crucial time.
Half of these frozen meals went on to Fraboni's warehouse in Hibbing, MN to be distributed to food shelves and other agencies on the Iron Range.
This was the second time this winter that the Paulucci Family Foundation donated frozen dinners to area families in need.
